Delete your ShareCar account

This page applies to the ShareCar: Carpool & Rideshare app (com.sharecar.app) published on Google Play by TECHTENSTEIN INC. You can delete your account in the app, or ask us to delete it here without reinstalling the app.

Option 1: delete in the app

1. Open the ShareCar app and sign in.
2. Go to Profile → Settings → Delete account.
3. Confirm. Your account is closed and your data is deleted as described below.

Option 2: request deletion without the app

Fill in the form below, or email support@sharecar.net from your registered email address with the subject “Delete my ShareCar account”. We verify that the request comes from the account owner before deleting anything, and we confirm by email within 30 days.

What we delete

Your profile (name, email, phone number, photo), identity and driving-licence documents, vehicle details, chats, saved places and location history.

What we keep, and for how long

Some records must be kept for a limited time after deletion, for legal, tax, fraud-prevention and safety reasons: booking and payment records, and records of safety reports or fraud investigations. These are restricted and deleted when the retention period ends. Any wallet balance should be withdrawn before you delete your account.
