Be Reliable

Don't cancel at the last minute. Your co-travelers are counting on you to reach their destination.

Be Punctual

Respect everyone's time. Arrive at the pickup point on time. Traffic can be unpredictable, so please plan ahead.

Be Respectful

Treat the vehicle and your fellow travelers with kindness. ShareCar is a safe, friendly space for everyone.

Guidelines for Drivers

Safety First: Never use your phone while driving. Obey all speed limits and local traffic laws.
Clean Vehicle: Ensure your car is clean, tidy, and odor-free before picking up passengers.
No Surprise Costs: Do not ask for cash extra over the app-agreed price. All payments should be handled through the app.
Follow the Route: Stick to the route agreed upon in the app. If a detour is necessary due to roadworks, inform passengers first.
Documents: Ensure your Driver's License, Vehicle Registration, and Insurance are valid and available (digital formats accepted).

Guidelines for Passengers

Respect the Ride: Don't slam doors or eat messy food in the car. Keep the vehicle clean.
Luggage Limits: Respect the luggage allowance. Compact cars have limited trunk space; check before bringing large suitcases.
Digital Payment: Pay the share promptly via the app. Avoid haggling over the fixed contribution.
Be Ready: Be at the pickup point 5 minutes early. Drivers cannot wait long at busy locations.
ID Verification: Be ready to show your Government ID if the driver asks to verify your identity.

In-Car Etiquette

Every car is different. Check preferences before booking:

Smoking & Alcohol: Strict no-smoking policy. Consumption of alcohol or recreational drugs before or during the ride is prohibited.
Calls & Audio: Use headphones for music/videos. Avoid loud or long phone conversations that might distract the driver.
Pets: Pets are only allowed if the ride is marked as "Pet Friendly" and they are secured in a carrier.

Zero Tolerance Policy

Violation of these rules will result in an immediate and permanent ban from the ShareCar platform:

Sexual harassment, inappropriate touching, or suggestive comments.
Discrimination based on race, religion, gender, nationality, or sexual orientation.
Physical violence or aggressive verbal abuse.
Transporting illegal goods, weapons, or hazardous materials.
Fraudulent activity (fake profiles, stolen cards, or payment fraud).
